The Madison County Rural Health Council coordinates the delivery of this Stanford University workshop for people who have a primary or secondary diagnosis of chronic pain. Pain is defined as being chronic when it lasts longer than 3-6 months, or beyond the normal healing time of an injury. The workshop provides helpful information and teaches practical skills for managing chronic pain. The workshop is led by trained Leaders, at least one of whom has chronic pain.
Classes run for 2 ½ hours per week for six weeks at different locations.
